In 2020, we successfully applied for a grant from the British Science Association to run our Science Week in or Forest School area.  The grant enabled us to purchase DT equipment including hack saws and a wooden wormery for composting our waste and learning about the relationship between the creatures in the soil and life cycles.

We worked in conjunction with Forest School practitioners to engage parents and children in workshops that were designed to encourage interaction with the natural environment.  We used cross-curricular projects involving DT to make bird feeders and transparent wormeries from upcycled materials, design and build bird-watching dens and discover and identify worms for use in our brand-new wormery alongside other native inhabitants of our very own woodland habitat.

Great fun was had by all!
